Design, working documentation
Project period: 2003 – 2018
General Designer: Institute Stroyproekt
Contractor: Pylon CJSC
Client: Directorate of Transport Construction / St. Petersburg Committee for Transport Infrastructure Development

A cable-stayed fixed bridge was built in St. Petersburg in 2018 as part of preparations for the FIFA World Cup. The bridge ensures 24-hour traffic between Vasilievsky Island and the city centre.

Together with the Western High Speed Diameter and Makarov Embankment, it makes part of the shortest transport link between Pulkovo Airport and Gazprom Arena Stadium.

There are two viewing platforms on the bridge, from which visitors can enjoy views of the Gulf of Finland and the city.

They changed the pylon shape and height, stay cables arrangement and the main span system. The pylon now is 44 m high.
